District Health Society, Zunheboto with Satoi Town Youth Organisation (STYO) organised a health mela at Satoi under Satakha block on March 25.
Health services and medicines were provided free of cost to all 270 patients and various ailments including common cough and cold, minor OT and other diseases prevalent in the area were treated.
The community were also taught on household hygiene and other communicable diseases. FGD and one to one sessions were carried out on child health and maternal health. Documentary show was also screened during the mela; nutritional packages were also given to pregnant and lactating mother and pamphlets and leaflets were distributed.
The medical team was led by deputy CMO, Dr. Hoito; DPO (RCH &UIP), Dr. Alemwabang Aier; senior dental surgeon, DH, Dr. Tali; MO in-charge Satoi PHC, Dr. Kezhaletuo; MO in-charge Saptiqa PHC, Dr. Kanato; MO in-charge Satakha PHC, Dr. Kihito; MO in-charge Ghukiye PHC, Dr. Inoka and supporting nurses, lab tech and ophthalmic assistant.
The district team comprised of DPM, DAM, BAM, Satakha block ASHA co-ordinator, lab tech and nurse (MMU) along with vertical programme staffs RNTCP, NVBDCP, DAPCU.
