Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Shamator block, Shamator district conducted training, demonstration and capacity building programme for FSG on November 17, at Sangphur village with resource persons BTM Yimobendang and ATM (ATMA) Dekhingbe.
A press release from ATMA Shamator, informed that the resource person conducted training on mushroom cultivation, demonstration on nursery bed management and cabbage cultivation.
The programme was chaired by BTM, Shamator block Yimobendang and vote of thanks by (DPD) Lanuakum. Altogether, 30 participants including village council members and farmers from Sangphur village attended the programme.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Mon block conducted a demonstration programme on “Value added production of Parkia” on November 17, at Mon village. Resource person, ATM Manlen Konyak showed the process of making pickle using parkia beans. She also shared about its health benefits and economic value.
In a separate event, ATMA Chessore block, Shamator conducted various training, demonstration and capacity building programme at Thiyang Village and Kuthur Village on November 20.
A press release by the block stated that training on the topic “Post Harvest Management of French Bean” was delivered by AFA, Department of Agriculture, Somba Chang, while ATM, Dekhingbe, demonstrated on “Nursery bed preparation of Cole Crops”, with an objective to make farmers aware of cultivation practices, soil preparation and pest management.
Another demonstration on preparation of Bordeaux mixture for vegetable crops was shown by BTM Merenjungla. The block also conducted capacity building programme at Kuthur Village.
Winter vegetable seeds, such as broccoli, onion, peas, cauliflower, maize, coriander, and carrot, were distributed to the farmers. Altogether, 35 farmer participants from two villages were benefitted.
