The unit reiterated its stand that the party upholds its national out look with a regional approach for the livelihood security, economic wellbeing and harmonious co-existence of the people of Nagaland in particular and the country in general, and in order to restore a conducive atmosphere for harmonious coexistence of the people in the affected states, cognitive boundaries between the perpetrators and minority Christian communities should be negotiated with ‘insight and sensitivity.’
According to a joint release issued by Basu Damani, spokesman and T.L. Merry, vice president and spokesman, BJP Nagaland unit, in the effort to pave way for good sense to prevail upon the anti-Christian perpetrators and Christian minorities, impartial comments and unsullied support from citizens, irrespective of ones religious background is the need of the hour.

Konyak has thanked the Government of Karnataka for the timely decision of reconstructing the damaged churches in the state and urged upon the Govt. of Orisa to follow suit, asserting that this would be considered as the best example of an efficient Govt. in a civilized society.
