Training resource centre for needy

A resource centre for the underprivileged was inaugurated Thursday by minister, health and family Kuzholuzo Nienu.
Lauding the initiatives of executive director Rev. Dr. Coppe Mero and research executive Adela Mero for their venture in reaching out the underprivileged the minister said that opening of resource centre should also be an eye opener for the rich to contribute towards making similar centers to help underprivileged and needy people.
Highlighting on the resource centre, Dr. Adela Mero said, the centre was established in 1998 with an aim to reach out families , young people, children, women and the underprivileged and focused on family counseling, publication of Sunday school and VBS curriculum including Tabitha craft and design imparted for school drop outs, shelter home and crèche centers. He also said counseling clinics were available to anyone who desired help.
The resource centre has a unit for production of toys and craft items to help the trainees for sustainable livelihood. The organization monitors preschools in Dimapur and nearby villages sponsored by State social Welfare Board and will be running a preschool ‘Rainbow academy’ in the coming academic year. The newly inaugurated administrative and training complex will provide facilities for training leaders; conduct married couples’ retreat, teachers training, camping, conference etc.
The programme started with dedicatory prayer by Dr. Nzan, director Crown centre, vote of thanks was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Coppe Mero, executive director, Resource centre and benediction by Rev. Dr.W.Lohe. The chief guest donated Rs.50, 000 towards the centre.
