Peace Channel calls for curbing culture of corrupt practices

Peace Channel, (PC) conducted one-day orientation training programme for both the Peace Club leaders and teachers in-charge in the educational institutions of Mokokchung district at Queen Mary Higher Secondary School in the month of July.
Project manager, Wobenthung J. Patton, the resource person who lauded and appreciated the active role displayed by both the Peace Club members particularly leaders and teachers in-charge towards promoting peace and initiating cleanliness drive.
Stressing that time has changed and that one needed to move ahead in accordance with it, Patton said the prime responsibility was in the hands of the present youth to transform the culture of violence, corruption and practice of all types of anti-social elements into a culture of peace loving where development and growth, progress and prosperity could be witnessed and felt.
Adding value to his session, he called upon all the intellectuals, students, youth, elders, responsible citizens and organizations to work with sincere outmost and brings about a change in the system, so that every Naga citizens will have the right to live and grow peacefully without facing any destruction, bloodshed and corruption.
During the session, group activity in the form of reasoning, discussion and debate were carried out where queries, clarification, doubts and questions were raised and answers sought accordingly.
Altogether, 20 participants from four institutions in and around Mokokchung district participated.
