Sangtemla unit Bhawan under 26 Aonglenden A/C was inaugurated on December 3 by Dr. S.C Jamir as the chief guest. The programme was a part of the touring schedule of constituencies of the district congress committee (DCC) Mokokchung.
Speaking at the programme, Jamir said Nagaland was in need of peace and truth and the society has failed to point out “black is black and white is white”.
He said since Nagaland was corrupted, a mere change would not do but it should be revamped into a new Nagaland, this he said would be the work of Congress party.
On President’s Rule (PR), Jamir said “if at all PR was to come it would be better for Nagas” and further lamented that Naga society has been uprooted of its identity and warned that this would lead to disintegration of the society.
Hitting hard at ruling NPF led DAN, Jamir said DAN government has made 258 crorepattis thereby making disparities between the poor and the rich.
He further added that in order to lead the Nagas to righteousness and awakening, it should be the bounden duty of all Congress workers to rise up work together.
At the programme, DCC Vice President Atenjenba gave a brief report of the DCC tour that was started from 29th Nov covering three constituencies, viz. 21 Tuli, 22 Arkakong and 26 Aonglenden. District Mahila Congress Committee Tiala also spoke at the program.
The programme was also attended by NPCC member P Satem Jamir, 26 ACCC President Imlitemjen Longkumer, 26 ACYC President A. Bendang Jamir, 26 ACCC Sangtemla Unit president Tali Longkumer, Sangtemla ward chairman Shilu Yaden also spoke. Dedicatory prayer for new Bhawan was inaugurated by Rev. Luin Jamir, ex-pastor MTBA.
