DC & RO Kma, Mkg on filing nomination papers

Deputy commissioners and returning officer Kohima, W. Honje Konyak has notified all the assembly constituencies under Kohima district- 8 Western Angami, 9 Kohima town, 10 Northern Angami-I, 11 Northern Angami-II, 12 Tseminyu, 14 Southern Angami-I and 15 Southern Angami-II on the forthcoming elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

DC informed that nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or by any of his proposers to the returning officer, Kohima at the office of the DC & Returning Officer Kohima between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than public holiday) not later than February 6.

Forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid.
The nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny on February 7 at 10 a.m.

Notice of withdrawal of the candidatures may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by his election agent who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it to the returning officer before 3 p.m. on February 9, and in the event of the election being contested, the poll would be taken on February 23 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 4 p.m, stated an official bulletin.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner and returning officer Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has informed that nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or any of his proposer to the Returning Officer or Chubawati Chang, ADC & Assistant Returning Officer at DC office between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than public holiday) not later than February 6. Forms of nomination papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid.

Nomination papers would be taken up for scrutiny at 11 a.m. on February 7 at DC’s office AC-wise starting from 21 Tuli AC ending at 30-Alongtaki AC.

Notice of withdrawal of nomination of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the DC in his office before 3 p.m. on February 9 and polling will be held on February 23 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
