Konyak Union (KU) on behalf of Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong (KNSK), Konyak Students Union (KSU) and the people of Mon in a letter addressed to the state health and family welfare minister, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu, has appealed for cancellation of transfer order with regard to Dr. Supong, Gynaecologist, under district hospital, Mon.
The press release endorsed by Konyak Union president, S. Khoiwang Wangsa, KSU president, Methna Konyak and KNSK president, Lomei Konyak, stated that the recent reshuffle of medical officers in the state including Dr. Supong was “disheartening” as per the district population and patients, and said one Gynaecologist alone cannot cater to the inflow of patients in the hospital as voiced by the people of the district time and again.
The signatories urged the minister of health and family welfare to consider the plight and suffering of the people of Mon district and immediately cancel the transfer order.
The signatories further advocated for immediate cancellation of the order and retain Dr. Supongmeren at district hospital, Mon.
