Low-intensity blast in Phek

A low-intensity blast reportedly occurred at DC Phek office complex Tuesday at around 6.30 p.m. in which one CRPF jawan suffered minor injury.

According to a DIPR report, explosion occurred in a high security complex, which was near the SP Phek Office entrance. It was suspected that some miscreants hurled the bomb in to the complex and fled. Further investigation into the incident was in progress, report stated.

Meanwhile, dweputy commissioner and district magistrate, Phek, Anoop Khinchi has promulgated 144 Cr.P.C along the streets/ground of Phek from 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. prohibiting the procession/gathering of more than five persons.

Strictly warning the public of Phek Town to obey the order, the district magistrate stated that the order would come into immediate effect from February 26 and remain in force till further orders.
