Eco-Tourist Centre in Jotsoma opens

Jotsoma Nature Conservation and Eco-Tourism Trust Kohima (JNCETT) has informed that the Eco-Tourist Centre at Jotsoma would be open from Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for public.

JNCETT chairman Vizovotuo Nagi & secretary Dr. Kuokehebi Gwirie in a release has informed that entrée free per person would be Rs. 10 while for children below 12 years would be free. For light, medium and heavy vehicle, entrée free would be Rs. 20. Rs. 30 and Rs. 50 respectively.

Further, tourism committee has expressed its appreciation to Jotsoma Village Council members and GB’s for initiating cleanliness drive held on the February 27.

It may be mentioned that people of Jotsoma has been contributing its best to protect and develop the area for the welfare of people.

However, many at times, the solar light was damaged, varieties of flowers and evergreen plants plucked away and the area littered despite repeated appeals by the authority in charge.

JNCETT while welcoming all the people to enjoy the beauty of Eco-Tourist Centre has also appealed to all to extend support in protecting and keeping the area clean and to develop the area for everyone.
