Dimapur Muslim Public Forum (DMPF) has refuted the news item that appeared in a local daily on March 6 issued by BMTFWS, Bokajan, alleging that the forum was planning to restrict entry of poultry birds from Karbi-Anglong, Assam, into Nagaland.
Stating the allegation was totally baseless and nothing but a “nefarious design” of some “evil minded” individuals to malign the image of reputed persons, DMPF president, Shanawar Shaikh (Munna) in a press release felt that it was “below the dignity of civilized people to refute such wild allegations and make any paper war with such group of people”.
Meanwhile, in another release, proprietor of A.S Poultry Farm, Burma Camp, Dimapur, Vihuto Yeptho, expressed shock seeing the release issued by BMTFWS, Bokajan.
According to Yeptho, the allegation made in the release was “baseless and cooked up” to implicate the DMPF including him to warm up their own position to carry forward their own position to carry forward their nefarious design.
Vihuto also stated that being a poultry bird dealer of Dimapur, he had no knowledge/information regarding the plan to restrict the entry of poultry birds of Karbi Anglong to Nagaland, at the same time, added that the poultry birds were brought into the state without any obstruction on day to day basis via Bokajan, Khatkhati and Lahorijan.
