Naga representatives to the government of Myanmar and Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA), on behalf of Naga people of Myanmar, have extend heartfelt congratulation to NPF-led DAN government for landslide victory in recently concluded assembly election and returning to power for third consecutive term.
In a joint press release, Naga members of parliament U Hla Tun, U Myat Ko, U Zin Wan and ENSA members including president Michael Kaita, vice president Mankhat Konyak general secretary Y Khomong Khiam expressed their hope that DAN government would continue to safeguard the unity and the spirit of oneness among the Naga brethren irrespective of territorial demarcation.
“Without realizing the importance of unity among the Nagas, we will be a lost nation and one of the most pitiable ethnic groups on planet,” signatories said.
Further, they hoped that Naga people, under the leadership of Rio, would experience prosperity, unity and peace in the state.
The signatories said “with great expectation, we will be looking forward to our brothers in India that they will extend utmost co-operation at this transitional point of time here in Myanmar.”
