One-day workshop on de-addiction and stress management was organized by DIGP (OPS), CRPF, Kohima in collaboration with Brahmakumaris of Prajapita Iswariya Viswavidyalaya, Mount Abu, Kohima branch on March 11 at 78 Bn, CRPF Camp, Zubza, Kohima.
A.K. Kanaujia, DIGP, (operation) Kohima graced the occasion as the orator and Suraj Pal verma, Commandant – 78 Bn CRPF presided over the function.
A.K. Kanaujia in his address, appreciated the work of Brahmakumaris for the addicted and stressed people and briefed about use of meditation in one’s life.
Sister Rupa, who conducted the workshop, delivered a lecture on stress management and de-addiction.
She emphasized upon the impact of alcohol, drugs and tobacco in the society and advised the participants to get rid of it through daily pranayam, yoga and meditation.
Video clippings were shown on the consequences of addiction of smoking, chewing tobacco, drinking alcohol etc.
She also gave a demonstration of ‘Yogic kriya’ to improve memory and to control stress.
Suraj Pal Verma, commandant-78 Bn CRPF in his vote of thanks, appreciated the workshop conducted by Brahmakumaris which will be useful for the CRPF personnel, family and their profession.
Around 160 jawans from the office of DIGP (operation) CRPF, Kohima, 78 Bn CRPF, Zubza and 173 Bn CRPF, Dimapur attended the workshop.
