Charitable dispensary in New Market, Dimapur

Committee of Durga Mandir, New Market, Dimapur in collaboration with New Market Business Owners’ Association (NMBOA) has opened a charitable home dispensary at Durga Mandir Complex at New Market.

Hokivi Chishi, president, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry who is also the president of NMBOA, inaugurated the new dispensary on April 16.

Delivering a short speech on the occasion, Hokivi Chishi said it was imperative to have such charitable health centres to cater to the needs of needy people.

He said that health care was a basic need and as such, religious organizations could play a vital role in setting up charitable health centers providing free check up and free medicines.

Lauding the Durga Mandir committee of New Market for initiating such noble venture in the service of the society, Hokivi said other organizations should take this as an example and follow-suit.

He encouraged the public to avail free check up and free medicines provided at the centre. As a token of love, he contributed cash towards the fund of the dispensary.

He further thanked the doctor who volunteered to give free service at the centre and to all those who were responsible for the successful opening of the dispensary.

I. Pihoto Awomi, president of Hazi Park welfare committee also graced the occasion and exhorted the gathering.

V. Nikheto Swu, GB, New Market and Hariram, proprietor, Hariram Balram Store were among others who attended the function.
