Drug lacer nabbed by RPF personnel

Personnel of the Anti-Drugging Team, which was recently formed under Railway Protection Force (RPF), Dimapur  detained one person who was moving about in a suspicious manner when the BG Express was stationed in Platform No 1 inside the railway platform Sunday night. OC, RPF station R. Pucho said when police frisked the suspect, he was found to be in possession of 1000mg of Ativan tablet powder, packed in a plastic and concealed inside his socks. The accused was identified as  Dilip Roy (55), son of late Rajkarta Roy of Abhaya Puri village, Bongaigaon, Assam.

OC said that the  modus operandi of the accused, was to befriend co-passengers in the train and later would offer them eatables or tea, mixed with the powdery Ativan.

The immediate affect of the laced eatables or tea was that the victims would become drugged after which Dilip would loot them. A case has been registered and the accused forwarded to judicial custody.
