APMC, Wokha in collaboration with Agri & Allied, ATMA Department conducted a training-cum-consultative meet of village marketing committee and also dedicated a cold storage on May 17 at APMC Conference Hall, Wokha.
The programme was chaired by Ekhow Kikon, APMC Chairman and the cold storage constructed for post harvest preservation was dedicated by Rev. Sulumo Ezung Pastor, WTBC.
Peter Yanthan D.A.O, Wokha in his key note address, advised the people to be well acquainted with the marketing strategies and encouraged them to adopt post-harvest technologies for better income or result.
At the technical session, Dr. Mhonchan Shitiri, Project Director, ATMA, Likhaba ARCS, Y Bichamo Lotha, M-Secretary APMC spoke on the importance of marketing and role of co-operative marketing.
The consultative meet also decided that the Weekly Bazaar will be on Saturday instead of Friday.
