Three-day LBES youth rally concludes

Three-day 19th youth rally of Lotha Baptist Ekhumkho Sanrhyutsü (LBES) held under the theme “Nkenphio Longtsü” (Audacious faith, Hebrews11:1) concluded on January 14 at N. Longidang Baptist Church. 
A press release by LBES youth rally organizers stated that the speaker on January 14 afternoon, Lotha Baptist Church Kohima associate pastor, Mhonchumo Erui, delivered a sermon on the topic “faith, the bedrock of our decision making”, based on Daniel 3:16, 1 Kings 18:21 and Matthew 26:39. 
Mhonchumo said that believers must have total faith in God without reservations and doubts and to let his faith be the bedrock to build his life upon.
He warned that following only one’s voice in pursuit of worldly materialism without Jesus would be a dangerous path. By surrendering one’s will to God, all sense of fear and guilt, weakness, pride and arrogance would be replaced by self renewal through Christ, he added. 
Earlier, Grace Baptist Church Delhi Pastor Jim Roberts, while exhorting the congregation, said the youths do not live the word of God and does not follow the Bible but consider it as just another common book.
He called on the youths to come out of their inactive state and live up to their spiritual responsibilities and purpose of the gospel in reality.
In her sermon, women leader Diphupar, Yanpvulo Ovung, challenged the youth to prove to others with their life the unshakable and audacious faith through Christ that they could overcome the evil vices of the present times.
 LBES executive secretary, Nyanchumo Lotha, during the consecration service of the evening rally, spoke on “live in integrity with faith”. He asked young people to be responsible, accountable and credible in all aspects of moral character and physical conduct.
The best disciplined award was bagged by Chumukedima while Longla and LBES Longjüng Baptist Ekhumkho secured the second place. In skit competition, Lotha Church Dimapur bagged first place followed by Diphupar and Diphupar B.
A new team of office bearers were elected with Benlanthung Yanthan, youth director, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur as the chairman. The next Lotha youth rally would be hosted by Kukidolong Circle Lotha Baptist Churches in 2021.
