Phek Forest Division on August 18 distributed solar lamps to ten villages located at the confluence of Tizu river under Phek District in collaboration with Mumbai Based NGO, Eco Solutions who donated the lamps.
The ten villages were: Mutsale, Tehephu, Kotisu, Sohomi, Suthotsu, Kizari, Tuzatsu,Khutsokhono, Khuza and Chepoketa.
The distribution programme held at Khuza village was attended by the ten village functionaries and local communities.
The benificiaries and EAC Khuza Tiayanger Jamir appreciated the initiative of DFO Phek Rongsenlemla Imchen IFS and Phek forest division for their effort in transporting and distributing the lamps personally to each household.
They also expressed gratitude to Yatender Agrawal, the coordinator of Eco Solutions for his compassion and aid.
Altogether the division has distributed lamps to 20 villages, ten under Meluri Sub Division and ten under Tizu.
The division aims to cover few more villages in the fourth phase.
