A team comprising of IEC personnel, block program manager Pungro block along with Mobile ICTC lab tech and counsellor and district program officer, DAPCU under CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICE, Kiphire visited Moya Village on October 27 for monitoring and evaluation of village health nutrition day (VHND) and to also provide and mobilise about HIV & AIDS.
During the visit, the team monitored and evaluated various activities especially maintenance of reports, the importance of IEC materials: citizens charter, demographic profile of the respective health units, sign boards & posters needs to be displayed in proper location, and VHND to be conducted compulsory every month in all the villages.
Basic health care services and medicines were provided to the villagers. Patients’ numbering about 25 had their blood test done on the spot prior to which counseling was given.
IEC materials- leaflets and posters were also distributed. Health talks on importance of institutional delivery were discussed and to avail JSSK services.
