Around three to four masked armed miscreants, reportedly committed robbery at Mount Saramati Montessori School (MSMS) and decamped with cash meant for the school children’s annual feast planned on November 15.
According to MSMS chairman Chuba Lemtur, the miscreants, armed with pistols and guns and with faces covered, entered the school premises on November 12 at around 8.15 p.m. and at gunpoint robbed the cash collected for the November 15 feast.
Condemning the incident, the chairman said “looting an educational institution is not less than depriving children their right to learn” and added that it “demoralizes the zest of the school to move towards excellence”.
“The School invites opinion whether such an act which would dampen the spirit of tomorrow, should be condemned by one and all,” he added.
