In view of the forthcoming general election (Lok Sabha) district administration of Kiphire district conducted one day training for Sector Magistrates (SM)/ Sector Officers (SO) on March 18 at DC’s conference hall.
During the training, the trainees were reminded by DC & ARO Kiphire Neposo Theluo that the training was being held as a refreshed course so that they could be prepped for successful and smooth conduct of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. DC & ARO also said the district election machinery would issue Electronic Photo Identity Card (EPIC) to the bonafide card holders to ensure one man one vote he also inform that SM’s / PO’s should complete distribution of EPIC within five (5) days.
Neposo also remained the polling officers to visits each and every polling station in the district to assist their basic minimum facilities requirement and to work along with the concern village councils for arrangement of volunteers so that differently able person could franchise their rights. SDO (C) & ERO Dr. Tinojongshi Chang presented a power point on role of sector magistrates/ sector officers.
