Dimapur police Thursday morning found body parts of a newly born infant at Super Market area, opposite to the Night bus parking.
According to police, on receiving telephonic information that a stray dog was “eating away” the flesh suspected to be that of a new born child, the police rushed to the spot.
Police could recover only the head and the right palm of the infant and the same has been kept at District Hospital Dimapur (DHD) morgue.
TANSA condemns
Tenants’ Association Naga Shopping Arcade (TANSA) has condemned what it termed as “the killing of a newly born infant” near Supermarket area Thursday morning.
In a press release, TANSA president Y. Pukhaho Yepthomi appealed all communities to put an end to such “barbaric act” as public silence was coasting the lives of more children.
