15134 security personnel to be deployed for poll duty

A total of 15134 police personnel’s would be deployed for the April 9 Lok Sabha poll duty in the state.

According to official source, the security forces have been drawn from CRPF, SAP, state police and other agencies. They would be involve in polling duties, security, ROP and others related activities with effect from April 9 till April 14.

These forces include 648 BSF and CRPF personnel (8 coys) each; Mizoram SAP 567 personnel (7coys); Tripura SAP – 810 (10 coys); DEF-4001; NAP-2700 (36 coys); NAP (IR) – 2310 (25 coys and 2 platoons); home guard – 508’ village guards -2816; INT- 35 personnel; NAPTC – 47; PTS-30 and PCW- 15 personnel.
