Farm schools inaugurated in Tuensang and Wokha districts

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuensang Sangsangyu block conducted training cum demonstration and inauguration of farm school at Maksha and Nyinyem villages March 26 and 27.
The training cum demonstration was conducted on package of practices for oranges, integrated fish farming, care and management of pond mushroom cultivation and application of bio-control agents in soyabean. The resource persons included BTT member O.Changlem, BTM Temjenmenla and SMS Achetba.
Mushroom spaws, Trichoderma and seed were distributed to 47 villagers who attended the programme.
Farm school at Pangsa
Farm school on sericulture was inaugurated on March 26 at Pyangsa village by ATMA Wokha Sanis block. On the occasion, a demonstration on lime application in a fish pond and on orange cultivation was imparted to the participants.
Resource persons Tsutsamo Ezung, Field Demonstrator (Fishery) and Chenithung Tsanglao, Horticulture Extension Assistant imparted the training.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Mhonrhoni (subject matter specialist) while the concept of farm school was delivered by Mhomo Murry (BTT convener).
Demonstration on ginger was also organized at Moilan where pre-sowing treatment of ginger from various infections was demonstrated.
