Troops of 37 Assam Rifles reportedly recovered one .22 pistol along with war like stores in the forests of Kukipani Nala near Sitikima March 21.
According to PRO, the recovery was made based on information received by the unit regarding presence of an abandoned hideout in that area. The items were recovered near two burnt Jhoom huts along the Nala. Apart from the pistol, the recoveries include one hand grenade, one Lathode live round, an improvised explosive device (IED), four fired case of Lathode and five live rounds of assorted ammunitions. A report of the recovery has been lodged by the unit with Diphupar Police Station.
