Personnel of 37 Assam Rifles during routine check recovered 20 kg contraband ganja from a Maruti Van at Lalmati March 24. A total of four persons travelling in the vehicle including one lady were apprehended.
According to PRO, the apprehended persons, identified as Adni Kissi, son of Kissi; Adkho Joil, son of Adkho; Loli Naga, son of Sani Naga and Onia, wife of Kiko, revealed the contraband was being transported from Mao to Dimapur. The apprehended persons and recovered contraband drugs were handed over to the excise department, Dimapur on the spot.
