Sangtam Students Union Tuensang Town (SSUTT) organized a cultural event on the theme “Reminiscing Culture” at Town Hall, Tuensang September 6.
ENPO vice president Sashi Naga, who graced the cultural programme as chief guest, encouraged and challenged the student community to preserve and conserve the culture in this fast changing world. Also, speaking as resource person, on the topic ‘significance of culture’, USLP president Yonghopi Sangtam stressed on the importance of culture in the past, the present and the future.
The chief guest and his entourage were accorded by Naropi dance troupe. The cultural programme was compeered by Rosemary, while invocation was said by Dr. Yanger Pastor SBL, welcome address by SSUTT president Lipongchem. Special items were presented by students from Sao Chang College, St. John Higher Secondary School, Govt.Higher Secondary Tuensang and Purtoshi. Vote of thanks was delivered by SSUTT cultural secretary Amy and benediction prayed by Lijungla Women Leader SBL.
