Nagaland State Legal Service Authority (NSLSA) member secretary and Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench registrar Mayang Lima inaugurated Legal Aid Clinic at NNP+, Kohima.
While speaking at the inauguration function, NSLA member secretary expressed his hope that the Legal Aid Clinic would help facilitate in addressing the grievances of the PLHIV and IDUs. He also shared about financial assistance to PLHIV and double orphan children infected and affected by HIV&AIDS.
KDLSA secretary and chief judicial magistrate, Kohima Mezivolu T Therieh, in her opening remarks, acknowledged the presence of God and thanked Him for all the opportunities provided to help those people in need. She also appreciated the magnanimity of the Government of Nagaland for providing all assistance to establish the Legal Services Authority in all districts of Nagaland.
Short speeches were delivered by Bendang Jamir, State Programme Manger, NNP+, and Alemwapang Ao, Panel Lawyers. V Ashu Theyo, Panel Lawyer, introduced the Para Legal Volunteers. The programme was chaired by Joshua Sheqi, Panel lawyer.
