Reconciliation underway, says NPF (Noke-Kaito)

NPF (Noke-Kaito) disclosed that its CEC meeting held on March 31 resolved to welcome the appeals by NGO, hohos and concerned citizens for reconciliation among the NPF groups and work together for the greater interest of the state. In a joint statement, Noke Wangnao and G. Kaito Aye also acknowledged the directive of the Election Commission of India (ECI) to both groups to resolve their differences within. In pursuance of the directive, NPF (Noke-Kaito) has resolved to pursue reconciliation in the party’s unity and interest and over interest of the state. 
In pursuance of the CEC resolution, Noke Wangnao had officially written to Dr. Shürhozelie on April 1 for reconciliation as directed by ECI and acknowledgment of various appeals by civil societies and other sections. Noke and Kaito also informed that Dr. Shürhozelie had replied to their letter dated April 7 and welcomed the initiative and agreed with reconciliation within the party. 
In this regard, senior leaders of NPF (Noke-Kaito) met Dr. Shürhozelie for reconciliation and the latter’s follow-up action was awaited for expediting the process of reconciliation. 
In lieu of the reconciliation process underway, Noke and Kaito said there was no question of  camping or joining either side by MLAs as leaders of both sides were meeting each other in pursuit of reconciliation. 
They assured the party rank and file that they have positively responded to appeals of the NGOs and civil societies for reconciliation as also directed by the ECI adding they welcomed Dr. Shürhozelie’s positive response towards an amicable resolution of differences in a give and take policy and “ a spirit of forgive and forget”.
