Camps organized for children during summer break

With an objective to introduce the system of demonstrations and interactive sessions in the school education system, eight-day “summer camp” organized by Little Fingers Preschool (LFP), Purana Bazaar Dimapur in collaboration with International Montessori Teachers Training Centre (IMTTC) 5th mile, Dimapur which culminated on July 17. 
During the camp, the campers also visited an orphanage home El Shadai Orphanage Home, a home for nine children in the outskirts area of 4th Mile, Dimapur. The success of the summer camp has marked a promising beginning of the LFP’s dream of encouragement towards the children to develop in all aspects comprising physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual, stated LFP management. 
Altogether 16 children between two to seven years from different schools participated in the camp. The camp concluded with the distribution of prize to the students in a special award ceremony held at Saramati Hotel.
JTABA: Jalukie Town Baptist Arogo conducted summer camp for children from July 10-12, with varied activities like choreography, Bible games, songs and gospel hunt.The resource person was the director of Ebenezer orphanage home Dimapur, Akum Amri along with his team. Sunday school superintendent, C. Akala in a press release stated that the programme winded up with house competitions in all the activities. She further thanked everyone for the successful programme. 
St. Andrew Parish, Thenyizumi: Three-Day “Children’s Camp” was conducted from July 17-19 at St. Andrew Parish, Thenyizumi and concluded with the solemn Eucharistic Celebration officiated by vocation promoter of the Diocese of Kohima Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu under the theme; “Let the Little Children Come to Me” (Lk. 18:19). 
In his homily, Fr. Thomas urged parents to be compassionate with their children in their vital and important aspect of their lives and to the Children he asked them to follow Jesus means, to obey Jesus and follow His example. 
When Jesus was young, he obeyed his parents (Luke 2:51) said Fr. Thomas and reminded the children to be obedient to their parents who love them. In the camp, 40 children received the sacrament of the First Holy communion. Earlier, Rev. Fr. John Crusto, Parish priest, accorded the words of welcomed to the guests
140 Children from seven centers-Chetheba, K-Basa, Chozuba, Yoruba, Therutusumi, Ruzazho and Sekrezu participated in the camp. Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu, Sylvester Metha, Paul Magh, Albert Athisii, Denis Peseyie, Carol Dziivichii and Ruth were the resource personns. The topics were on 7 Sacraments and “vocation”. In the Bible quiz and singing competition was conducted on which Thunyizumi and Yoruba bagged first and runners up were Therutusumi and Thunyizumi. 
Keredu Thomas anchored the program, during the thanks giving service. Choreography, songs, Bible Shit, solo, folk tune was the special items presented. Gifts were presented to the special guests and resources persons. Meanwhile, Zhothiyi Mark, Touring Catechist and Keposwii John expressed the sentiment of gratitude to all.
