First quarter review meeting of all the programme officers, SMOs, MOs, DPMU and BPMU officials of Mokokchung district was held at IDSP Hall IMDH on August 11. In the meeting, Mokokchung CMO and chairman Dr.S.S. Akaba gave a brief report on performance of population stabilisation fortnight and intensive diarrhoea control fortnight in the district. He also explained about the Kayakalp award for the district and said that only district hospitals would be taken up for the award.
Since this award was mainly based on infection control and cleanliness of health units, he urged the health workers to be aware of this award so that they can be selected.
DPO, DAPCU, Makshi Jamir gave a detail presentation of HIV/AIDS scenario of the district. He also explained about the different social benefit s available for the people living with HIV/AIDS in the district. MO, AYUSH, IMDH Mokokchung, Dr.Moamongla submitted a brief report on AYUSH activities like patient’s turn- over and diagnosis. Dr. Limanaro, MO, Sabangya PHC gave her first quarter activity on number of institutional deliveries, immunisation and lab facilities available in Sabangya PHC.
Dy CMO, Mokokchung, Dr. Kibangkumba directed all the SMOs and MOs of different health units to be resource persons for the coming ASHA training to be held from August 17 to 28 in their respective blocks. Topics on non- communicable diseases, TB, malaria, RBSK, RKSK etc along with the module 6 & 7 for the ASHAs would be covered in the training.
DTO, Mokokchung, Dr. Chubatemsu explained in detail about RNTCP with special reference to MDRTB.
