Confederation of Chang Students Union(CCSU) has termed rampant backdoor appointments in various government departments as a “major blow” to many education unemployed youth and not only a state of unrest felt by advanced sections but a “door closed” to the least privileged sections- the ‘backward tribes’ of present Naga society.
CCSU speaker Nokching Somba and asst.general secretary Nayang Chang said as representatives of Chang community, spread all over Nagaland seeking employment and education, they were ‘aghast’ at the malicious and indifferent attitude of the “so-called guardian authority”.
BACKDOOR APPOINTMENTS
CCSU pointed to the backdoor appointment in the police department and questioned the government on its unresponsive nature. CCSU cited that in Tuensang context, in the DEF there were 2 UBSI, 4 ABSI,2 ASI, 6 THC,14 constables and 1 LDA totalling 29 posts whereas in the 3 NAP Tuensang, there were 6 havlidars, 11 constables appointed through backdoor during the past four months.
