To generalized the recent developed agriculture technologies and as a part of technology week, KVK Dimapur in collaboration with ATMA Dimapur district organized exhibition-cum-farmer’s scientist interaction on October 17 with parliamentary secretary for Labour and Skill development and Border Affairs Mmhonlumo Kikon as chief guest.
The programme was organized for popularization of recently developed technologies in agriculture celebrating technology week starting from October 12 to 17.
MON: One day campus training was conducted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mon under National Innovations on Climate Resilient Agriculture – Technology Demonstration Component (NICRA-TDC) on October 21 at KVK conference hall.
In the programme SMS (soil conservation) Imtinuksung presented on INM on Cole crops vegetables while SMS (plant protection) Martha Chakruno sensitized the farmers on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in large cardamom. Altogether 45 farmers participated in the training
SELOUPHE: Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Dhansiripar block inaugurated Vegetable Farm School at Selouphe village on October 16.
On the occasion resource person ATM Dhansiripar block Meciesenuo spoke on “nursery bed preparation”. She gave a brief note on importance of nursery and its management. Field demonstration on how to prepare nursery bed, like size of bed, soil preparation and line sowing method was demonstrated.
Meciesenuo and BTM Moainla also presented field demonstration on pest monitoring and management on tomato and methods of sowing of potato on ridges and pest management, while farm school teacher Kewele also shared her experiences.
The programme was chaired by AFA & BTT member Yentsao, keynote address was delivered by AO&BTT convenor Ronchamo Kikon and vote of thanks was proposed by ATM Jess Murry. Altogether 25 farmers participated in the programme. Vegetable seeds and rose cans were also distributed to the farmers.
