
Konyak Students Union Kohima (KSUK) celebrated its 32nd freshers’ meet cum change of guard under the theme “riding the tide” at APO hall, Friday.
Speaking as the chief guest, parliamentary secretary for home guard and sericulture, EE Pangteang Konyak asked the students to uphold their culture and traditions and maintain unity.
Pangteang also encouraged the students to work better for the welfare of the state and community while also asking them to maintain good relation with other communities. The chief guest also released KSUK constitution.
In the programme guest of honour, personal secretary of RD & REPA, Manlem Konyak also exhorted the students.
The gathering was enthralled through “if I told you so” by Lhangkai, presidential note was delivered by president KSUK, AB Phaiba and note of appreciation by executive chairman KSUK, Shingyeih. The programme was chaired by W Elly.
The programme was followed by second session, change of guard and new office bearers welcomed by KU president.
