Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Kesonyü Yhome Tuesday said collaborative efforts of all sections of society with the state government was needed to make Dimapur a “Smart City”.
While inaugurating welcome gate at Lengrijan, Dimapur, DC said this objective can be achieved with honesty and unity among the people.
Pointing out that peace and unity was essential for development, Yhome urged the gathering to put more effort towards the peace process so that development take place without any hindrance. On the occasion, Yhome also urged upon the responsible leaders to judiciously utilize the fund meant for developmental works. He appealed to the people to keep aside the differences and work together as team for all round development.
In his welcome address, chairman, Lengrijan Village Council (LVC) N.Meren Imchen assured that the village council would always maintain transparency for any kind of developmental activities while handing representation on road repairing and carpeting, concrete slab covers for drainage and construction of public toilets at market area, Lengrijan to Deputy Commissioner. Earlier, dedicatory prayer was said pastor DABA, Rev.L.Lima and the brief inaugural programme was chaired by LVC member, T.Noksang Imchen.
