Prohibitory orders clamped in Shamator

Sensing law and order situation in Shamator sub-division owing to the proposed YAA golden jubilee at Shamator town, the district magistrate Tuensang has imposed prohibitory orders in Shamator sub-division with immediate effect till further order.
In an order, district magistrate Tuensang Alem Jongshi stated prohibitory measures were taken after it was made observed that the situation could lead to further escalation of law and order situation.
The order has prohibited any person (s) from carrying arms in any procession or organisation or holding or taking part in any mass drill or mass training with arms under Shamator sub-division for a period of three months.
It further cautioned that any person(s) found participating in such illegal activities or knowingly carrying arms in any public place in contravention of any public notice or order issued or made under section 144A of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974) shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months and with a fine which may extend to two thousand rupees.
