Sericulture farmers exposure trip to Guwahati

Exposure trip under ISDP (NERTPS) to Guwahati, Assam was organized by district sericulture office, Kohima from March 15- 18 for sericulture farmers.

District sericulture officer, Kohima Mhianizoto Meyase informed in a release that the farmers were exposed to the activities like eri silkworm rearing, and grainage, muga silkworm outdoor rearing, mother moth examinations. They also visited Fabric Plus where they witnessed the process of obtaining eri silk mill yarn from eri cocoons; and weavings from eri silk yarns, mulberry silk yarns and muga silk yarn. 

Altogether 58 sericulture farmers were led by E.O Vilhousienuo Khro and project facilitator Henwalo Lorin where they visited assistant sericulture office, Udalgiri Assam, Azara and Fabric Plus.
