Phom Students Union Kohima (PSUK) celebrated its 25 years anniversary today at the state academy hall Kohima with parliamentary secretary of Land Resource Development and Excise, B. S Nganlang as the chief guest.
The parliamentary secretary in his jubilee message congratulated the pioneers of PSUK for their selfless service rendered for the welfare of the students of Kohima.
He expressed joy that Phom students studying in Kohima had increased to huge numbers unlike the very few during the 1990’s.
Nganlang wished the union to grow fruitfully with God and be an inspiration of becoming someone great by achieving their aspired goals in the interest of Phom land.
First president PSUK B. Ponghok, president Phom Students Conference Hongkam D. Ngonyen and president Phom Union Kohima Dr. M. C Longai also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier the parliamentary secretary also released the silver jubilee souvenir. The programme was compeered by Nokchem Angth and Nyuom. Various student organizations and others attended the jubilee celebration.
