No question of ruling out integration: Zhehoto Awomi

NSCN (I-M) Sumi Region organized a consultative meeting on October 27 with the public of Suruhuto Town on the Naga political issue.
In a press note secretary Sumi Region, Mulho Achumi said the main speakers at the meeting were Avuli Chishi Swu executive, steering committee and Zhehoto Awomi, kilonser of health.
Stressing on the August 3 Framework Agreement, Zhehoto Awomi said though the exact time and date for the final settlement cannot be predicted, but it would be soon as the government of India was serious on the Naga issue.
He also reiterated that the “Framework was a preamble of Nagas based on co-existence of two separate powers”. Answering to some questions raised by the public, Awomi reminded that the GoI had already recognised the uniqueness of Naga history, therefore the question of ruling out integration does not arise. He further noted saying “there will be no solution without integration”.  It was stated that Avuli Swu, as a living witness spoke on the struggles faced during and after the formation of NSCN/GPRN led by late Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah. “It was only by the grace of God, we have reached thus far,” Avuli Swu said, and appealed all to “commit oneself more towards God to achieve our goal”. Meanwhile, addressing the public CAO caretaker Sumi Region Khehoshi Chishi sent out a clear message to the public and Sumis “not to be confused, as sovereignty of Naga lies with the people”.
The meeting was attended by over 200 people including Suruhuto Area GB association, Village chieftains, STH, Church leaders, student leaders, elders and public leaders, Mulho stated.
