NSCN (I-M) reacts to K. Mulatonu

Reacting to the statement made by GPRN/NSCN convenor of National Political Advisory Council and kilonser, Kughalu Mulatonu that talks between Government of India (GoI) and GPRN/NSCN was on the cards and likely to start by March 2017, NSCN (I-M) said there was nothing new about such repeated empty claims. In a press note, MIP said all that they discussed “since 2007 was confined to ceasefire extension, whereby they have accepted to be disciplined under the Indian laws as signed in their ceasefire agreement”.
MIP said Naga people know that the GPRN/NSCN has been telling invented stories in order to collect taxes from the people from time to time, for the sustenance of their campers. The MIP stated that GoI had repeatedly told Kehoi campers that “there will be only one solution for the Indo-Naga political issue”.
It pointed out that the ongoing Indo-Naga political talk with Government of India and NSCN representing Naga people is inclusive and final.
Hundreds of cadres from the GPRN/NSCN have been switching sides and joining NSCN (I-M) to strengthen the ongoing peace talks, after realizing the truth that they have reach a dead end, MIP said.
In this regard, MIP said Mulatonu, in order to further prevent emptying their camps, has come out with a better idea of befooling the Nagas by stating that political talks with GoI would begin by March 2017.
MIP noted that much before March 2017, the Indo-Naga political talks would have resulted to a final solution and that “the question of even the existence of the GPRN/NSCN would not arise by then”.
Stating that it was good to dream within the ambit of possibilities, MIP wondered whether any would believe in his sound mind that government of India will have “political talks with non-existence or dissolve organization?”
MIP urged upon “Nagas not become easy victims of political gimmicks of some jokers”.
“Since the NSCN is in the talks representing the Nagas, we are the one who knows the  actual position and therefore urged our people to be patient and supportive to the on-going political talks which will usher in final solution that is inclusive, honorable and acceptable to both the parties that we assured,” MIP asserted.
