Nihoshe Village Council (NVC) has vehemently condemned the cowardly act committed by Hoshepu, son of Kakheto Sumi, who allegedly raped and murdered a minor girl. In a press note by GB Ghovito.K.Zhimo, secretary Lashika K.Zhimo Nihoshe and chairman Hokheto Chophy stated that the council in an emergency meeting held on October 28 had taken a stern resolution in regard to the incident. The council as per the Yezabo have expelled Hoshepu from the village for life. Further, the council extended fullest support to the law enforcing agency and accept whatever punishment as deem fit to the monstrous culprit as per the law. Also the council whole heartedly apologised to the victim’s family for the dastardly act committed by the culprit.
SUK: Sukhai Union Kohima (SUK) has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of a minor girl. In the press release SUK chairman Pukhato Aye and general secretary SUK Obed Kinimi expressed anguish over the abhorrent ferocity and ghastly act perpetrated upon helpless child which cannot be tolerated in any civilized society. The union appealed to the law enforcing agencies to treat the case with utmost priority and award befitting punishment to the culprit so that such “horrid elements” were restrained from committing further crimes of such nature. Union conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
ZRSU: Zunheboto Range Student’s Union (ZRSU) has expressed shock and condemned the “rape and murder” of an innocent girl. In a condemnation note ZRSU president Tohuto K. Zhimo and general secretary, Tokaho N. Zhimo stated that the shameful act committed by Hoshepu of Nihoshe village was intolerable and stated that rapist and murderer had no place to live in the civilized society. It further urged the concern law enforcing agency to investigate the murder and award a befitting punishment as per the law. ZRSU also conveyed its sympathy and condolence to the victim and prayed that the almighty God grant solace to the bereaved family members.
