Assam Rifles organize various programmes across Nagaland

46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of hqs IGAR (N) organized a free medical camp at Matikhru village, Phek district on January 22 by a medical team comprising of Captain Jaiprakash Yadav (RMO, 46 Assam Rifles) and the medical staff. 
Along with the medical camp, alecture on ‘Say no to drugs’ was also organised by the medical officer to educate the youth on the social menace of ‘drug abuse’ and its harmful effects on the society.
A total of 172 patients to include 37 male, 82 female and 53 children from the village were examined and given free medicines.
28 AR: 28 Assam Rifles conducted a weapon display for the School Children and Youth of Tseminyu town on January 23.
The aim of this programme was to motivate the students and youth to join the Army/Assam Rifles. A total of 105 students, 5 teachers and 2 GBs/Chairman of nearby villages attended the programme.
41 AR: Troops of 41 Assam Rifles and 14 Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital conducted a ‘Veterinary Camp’ at Thekrezenoma Village, on January 25.   
The veterinary camp was conducted as part of perception management activity under Operation Sadbhavna, in which approximately 807 domestic animals comprising mainly of cattle, dogs and poultry were examined and free medicines were distributed. In addition, vaccination of live stock and pets was also carried out in the area. The camp was attended by locals of Thekrezenoma village and surrounding areas.
9 Bihar: 9 BIHAR, under the aegis of Hq IGAR (North) organised a medical camp at Aboi Football Ground, Mon district from on January 24. The aim of the Camp was to support the needy and medically deprived section of the society. Approximately, 250 patients to include, 170 adults and 80 children patients were provided medical assistance by RMO, 9 Bihar and its medical staff.
7 AR: 7 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a lecture cum workshop at Zisaji College with an aim to spread awareness about hygiene and sanitation in Kiphire Town on January 25. 
According to AR, medical officer of the unit interacted with the young students and staff of the college and educated them about personal and community hygiene, and importance of healthy surroundings for overall development of society. 
AR also stated that its initiative was well received by local civil administration and youth associations as 200 students and college staff including principal attended the workshop.
