LBYD celebrates its 19th foundation day

Lierie Baptist Youth Department (LBYD) celebrated its 19th foundation day on January 28, with Nagaland Voluntary Consumers Organization (NVCO) president and ACAUT (legal cell) convenor, Kezhokhoto Savi as speaker. 
In the programme, Savi said that ACAUT team had met the chief minister and had also submitted required rules and guidelines for establishing Lokayukta in the state to curb corruption.
 He said it was unfortunate that the state government is yet to establish the same despite peoples’ demand. Savi also said that it was very unfortunate for the people representatives in failing to consider the cry of the people in regard to the conduct of ULB election.  Savi spoke on the topic, “responsibility of a Christian youth in a civil society” where he said that a youth was anyone whose age fell within the teens and forties. He exhorted that a Christian youth was a youth whose life was total example of Christ irrespective of the challenges around. 
Savi also highlighted various citizen rights as follows such as, National Food Security Act 2013, consumer awareness, Food Safety & Standard Act 2006, Lokayukta, Human Rights,  The Right to Information Act, 2005, environment protection, child protection and public services delivery.
