CMO Peren monthly review meet-cum-farewell programme

Chief Medical Office (CMO), Peren district under the chairmanship of deputy CMO, Peren, Dr. M. Tiala Longkumer, conducted its district review meeting-cum-farewell on April 5, at CMO, Peren.
Addressing the event, Dr. Tiala highlighted the importance of reporting formats. She urged the staff’s to work earnestly and be responsible.
She also informed about the Mission Indradhanush which has started on March 7, and would continue every month till June 2017.
 DPO, RCH /UIP, Dr. Khrielasanuo, explained in detail the use of Misoprostol- a medicine to be used at the sub-centre.
She informed that heavy bleeding after birth (postpartum haemorrhage, PPH) was one of the main causes of maternal deaths and in its effort to reduce maternal death, the government has recommended safe birth with Misoprostol.
She further mentioned that the focus of Mission Indradhanush was to identify the “dropouts” and the “missed out” children.
A short farewell program was also held for the outgoing CMO, Dr. Ngangshimeren, chaired by Dr. M. Tiala Longkumer, and BPM Athibung Block, Amenla, invoked God’s blessing.
Speech on behalf of the officers was given by DPO, RCH /UIP, Dr. Khrielasanuo and CMO staff by Iraklung, UDA.
In his farewell speech, Dr. Ngangshimeren expressed appreciation and extended gratitude to all the staff starting from the officers till the grade IV staff. Vote of thanks was delivered by DPM Elizabeth.
The meeting was attended by district program officers, medical officers, ANM’s, GNM’s, pharmacist, vaccinators, CMO’s establishment staff, district program management unit and block program management unit staff’s.
