Free cataract operation camp was conducted at District Hospital, Peren from March 28- 31 by Simple life mission trust and National Program for Control of Blindness Peren.
Speaking at the lunching programme, SDO, PWD Peren, Er. Asembe Mbung, exhorted the public to avail the facilities judiciously and reminded them to go for medical check up early and avoid visiting at the last hour.
The camp was held with district nodal officer NPCB Peren, Dr. Hedungkiebe and RMO IRB Saijang, Dr. Thungthamo Patton as surgeons. Ao Baptist Church Peren, Pastor Yanger Ozukum invoked God’s presence.
At the camp 10 cataracts cases were operated and 53 patients received free spectacles.
