Angamis to attend Moatsü celebration in Mkg

Following the invitation extended by the Ao Senden, 1000 Angami delegates from all four Angami ranges led by the Angami Public Organisation (APO) would be visiting Mokokchung town on May 2 to celebrate Moatsü festival.
A press release issued by the APO publicity committee has appreciated the Ao Senden for inviting the Angamis to their premier festival. It expressed hope that the goodwill initiative of the Ao Nagas would go a long way in promoting unity and friendship among the Nagas. APO has informed that the delegates would depart at 4 a.m from Kohima Local Ground.  In this regard, members from the APO and its frontal organisations including Angami Youth Organisation, Angami Students’ Union, Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho, Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho, Angami Sorts Association, Western Angami Public Organisation and Southern Angami Public Organisation have been requested to assemble at the starting point ahead of time.
APO has informed that departure point for members of Northern Angami Public Organisation would be at Botsa at 5 a.m., while the departure point for members of Chakhroma Public Organisation would be at DDSC Stadium, Dimapur.
APO has informed that the delegates would assemble at Alichen in Mokokchung, wherein, the delegates would be given time to dress-up. For those taking part in the cultural items, time will also be given to them for rehearsal at Alichen, it was informed.
Meanwhile, the publicity committee, on behalf of APO, has requested all the delegates to dress well in their traditional attires, while the delegates have also been directed to refrain from use of alcohol on the day.
The APO has also made a fervent appeal to all the Angamis residing in and around Mokokchung and neighbouring districts to take part in the celebration.
