
Minister for National Highway and Political Affairs, G. Kaito Aye has asserted that progress and development of an area or a community could come only with the unity and cooperation among the people.
Inaugurating the meeting hall of Aghunaqa Kukami Kuqhakulu-AKK (Aghunaqa village chief association) and AKK 42nd session on May 6 as chief guest, Kaito said that no amount of fund or policies could bring development unless there was cooperation among the people.
The minister also stated that it was also necessary for the people to support and cooperate with the ruling government and the sitting representative of the people in order to bring all round development to the area concerned.
Stating that minister or MLA concerned alone would not be able to bring about a change to the area unless the leader had the support of the people, he urged the people to support their MLA for all round growth of their area.
Retired District Sessional Judge and former president Western Sümi Hoho, Dr. Luhevi Achumi, delivered welcome address and head GB and former president, Western Sumi Kukami Hoho, Apeto Assumi, proposed the vote of thanks. AACLF chairman, Rev. Kikheto Awomi, read a scripture from the Bible and said the dedication prayer for the meeting hall.
AKK president, Mughavi Awomi, chaired the function; AKK general secretary, Hetoi Katty, was the recorder; felicitation and introduction of dignitaries was done by AKK vice president, Lhovishe Achumi while Hukai Baptist Church, women pastor, Iliho, pronounced the benediction.
