Drawing attention to the news item with regard to proposed indefinite road blockade in Peren district from May 8, Zeliang Kuki Public Organisation (ZKPO) said the January 11, 2017 notification issued by DC Peren dated to stop plying of log vehicle was “to save the road from complete destruction” as it was the only means of connectivity for the whole of Kebai Khelma area. In this regard, ZKPO secretary, Mongsun Zeliang in a pres note appealed to Nagaland Timber Traders Union’s (NTTU) and its affiliate bodies to bear with the DC’s notification.
