Kushiabill village council building was inaugurated on Thursday by Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Chumukedima, Dimapur, Thejavizo Nakhro.
Congratulating the village council, GBs, elders and inhabitants on completion of the council building, Nakhro also expressed happiness over the effective use of fund to construct the building.
He said the good example set by Kushiabill village would help the village to prosper in days to come.
Nakhro also appreciated the peaceful coexistence and unity among people from different communities inhabiting the village and encouraged them to continue to support and strengthen each other.
Also speaking in the programme, ex-minister, S.Lima Ozukum, highlighted the gathering of MGNREGA. He informed that in Kushiabill village, there are 212 job card holders out of 600 households and encouraged those without job cards to obtain it through BDO office with the help of VDB and Kushiabill village council.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Kushiabill Village Council (KVC) chairman, Sukheto Chishi, dedicatory prayer for the building was pronounced by Kushiabill Sumi Baptist Church (KSBC), Pastor, Kughavi Katty, short speech was delivered by Head GB, Subash Mech and vote of thanks was proposed by GB Kushiabill, Khekuto Jakha.
