A re-orientation training programme for Surveillance Workers (SWs), Permanent Field Workers (PFWs) and Surveillance Field Workers (SFWs) of all the blocks under Tuensang district was conducted on March 23, at Chief Medical Office Conference Hall, Tuensang.
The felicitator for the training was TVBO, Tosohivo Angami where he stated that, the SW, PFW and SFW are the backbone at the grassroots level who work hard to save the lives of the villagers in cases of Malaria.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. T. Pangjung Sangtam delivered a short speech regarding the Malaria cases in the district. He reiterated that earlier, there was only malaria but nowadays numerous Vector Borne Diseases have come along.
He also requested the health workers to work hard and with sincerity so that various health issues related to malaria could be eradicated.
Malaria inspector, Nokching Somba, highlighted the job responsibilities of the SWs, PFWs and SFWs. P.Chiye (Lab Technician) also gave a briefing on blood slide collection and smear preparation of RDT tests.
